Description 1989-1993 Dodge 5.9L Cummins 7mm X 0.5 mm Thin Injector Nozzle Gasket Heat Shield Bosch part number 2430105048 is a thin injector nozzle gasket crush washer used to seal the injector nozzle tip to the engine cylinder head in 1989-1993 Dodge trucks with 12-valve Cummins diesel engines. This is the copper injector washer / gasket used on Dodge 5.9L Cummins engines with 7 mm injector tips.  These gaskets measure 0.5 mm thick and get compressed to seal out combustion gases from the injector opening in the cylinder head.  These thin style gaskets allow the injector to protrude farther into the cylinder, allowing the fuel to spray farther into the piston bowl and slightly increases the compression ratio.  Be sure you have adequate piston to injector tip clearance when using these washers.
