The Complete Beethoven Sonatas – All 11 Volumes [DSD Bundle]

This bundle is a cherished addition to my Beethoven Piano Sonata collection. Purchased a few days ago in Stereo DSD 512, the sound quality is consistently exceptional (clarity and presence/ambience) throughout all tracks played to date. Kudos to the recording, production and processing teams. High notes are beautifully brilliant (no hint of harshness). Lows are gorgeously clear and powerful. I appreciate that the Bosendorfer’s bottom keys can be subtly felt as well as heard, somewhat reminiscent of gorgeous double-bass recordings from Native DSD. Professor Takacs’ keyboard and interpretative skills make for intriguing listening. IMO, no passage is rushed. Varying tempo is deftly used to produce intriguing insight and emotional effect. I sincerely hope that Peter releases more recordings.
