Description 2007.5-2012 Dodge Ram 6.7L Cummins Turbocharger Actuator Holset 4032772HX This is a remanufactured variable vane turbocharger actuator for 2007.5-2015 Dodge Ram trucks with the 6.7L Cummins diesel engine. Holset is a leader in the turbocharger industry and producer of the VGT™ from Cummins Turbo Technologies. Variable Geometry (VG) technology for the commercial vehicles use a sliding nozzle ring to produce quick turbo spool up and high flow rates all in the same housing. The precise movement of the vanes is controlled by an electronic actuator. Actuators can be replaced separately saving time and expense of replacing a complete turbo assembly if the linkage the actuator connects to is freely moving inside the turbocharger. If the linkage is stuck, that is the most likely reason the actuator went bad. If the linkage is not freely moving a turbocharger assembly is required. Note: Upon installation, a compatible scan tool is required to relearn the actuator movement and place the actuator in the proper position prior to bolting up to the turbo. Core Charges This part requires an acceptable matching rebuildable core be sent in to avoid paying the core charges. Worn out advance piston housings that can not be machined to accept available larger piston sizes will result in a reduction of the core charge refund. With Core Option = Means you will pay the core charge up front, and when an acceptable core is returned to Huckstorf Diesel the core charge will be refunded back to you. An acceptable matching core must be received within 30 days of the ship date to receive full core credit. Without Core Option = An acceptable matching core must be received before the exchange is sent out. An acceptable core is one that is rebuildable with typical replacement parts. Major damage such as rust, housing damage, critical broken parts will be cause for partial or no core refund. Pumps that sat for years in junk yards, fire damaged, collision damaged, etc. may not be accepted.
