The ambient temperature sensor is used to display the outside ambient temperature in the cluster. This sensor can be ripped off of the car during minor front end collision due to the way this sensor is often mounted to the inner fender liners. Therefore a usable pigtail will also be included with this temperature sensor. This ambient temperature sensor is used on many different models of BMW’s.
