Agustín Maruri its a guitarist that has dedicated his recordings to Classical repertoire and to many memorable “First World” Premiers like his Falckenhagen or Matiegka performances (to mention only two). Either solo or as a chamber musician his excellence has been applauded by music reviewers. I never thought I would find an album like this from him. Where you find music by Carlos Gardel, Charlie Chaplin, Osvaldo Farrés, Agustín Lara and Henry Mancini alone with pieces by Ravel, Ponce, Mompou or Takemitsu. He also provides lovely recreations based on songs by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, Gershwin and Sammy Fain. Everyone should have this album, I am sure you will love all the tracks.
