Producer’s Choice, Vol. 2: Cobra Records 25th Anniversary [Pure DSD]

Well recorded and excellent when listening through a DSD 512 system. Keep in mind Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 are a sampling of classical music, studio recorded, with a variety of instrument and vocal configurations. As such, many of the songs are more home ballroom sounding than expansive theater sounding, and none are live. The resolution and instrument differentiation is exceptional. The quality of recording and production is uniform across all the songs. Overall, both albums are very pleasing to listen to, even if some of the compositions are not my particular favored music style. It is a good starter combination if one is just starting to build out their DSD library and are seeking technical production excellence.
