E46 CAN-Bus Plug and Play Adapter, 4-pin DTM, Always Hot

This adapter provides CAN-Hi, CAN-Low, always hot power, and ground to a 4-pin Deutsch DTM connector. A second cable (purchased separately or user created) is required to go from the 4-pin connector to your data logging device(s) such as AiM, Solo DL, Solo 2 DL, AEM, MoTeC, RaceCapture/Pro, etc. Please contact us if you need an additional cable created that we do not currently carry. A custom cable or kit can be created for you. Application List: Only for vehicles with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) E39 E46 Mini (R50/R52/R53) Z3 Z4 (E85/E86) Notes:  – This adapter splices into an existing circuit of the vehicle with approximately 2.5-3A of power available (each vehicle can vary slightly). If your device(s) will use this much power or more, please consider the 2-pin version that only provides a CAN-Bus splice, then wire separate power and ground to your device(s).  – This adapter uses an always hot power source which is powered even when the car is off. Depending on the configuration of the device(s) you connect this can cause the battery to drain. It is recommended to disconnect any connected devices if the vehicle will sit for an extended period of time of time. Alternatively an adapter that utilizes ignition switched power is also available.
