GOUMENISSES is a family business founded in 2000 by Demetra Dartzi, who was born and raised in Goumenissa, Kilkis in Central Macedonia. Inspired by her mother and grandmother’s recipes and driven by her years of experience turning juicy local fruits and vegetables into sweet marmalades, jams, sauces and other delicacies, she began sharing her local handcrafted goods with the world from her small factory in the village of Goumenisses. Goumenisses now produces over 150 different handcrafted products in over 20 different categories. One of their main areas of focus now is vegan, low salt, sugar-free, gluten-free and special nutrition products.
